Members who are designated as Mediators (or Mediator - Volunteer Only) have met the following requirements:
Mediation Training: The person must have successfully completed a 40-hour basic training course in dispute resolution techniques which satisfies the requirements of Section 154.052(a) of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
Mediation Experience: The person must have accumulated a minimum of 24 hours of actual mediation experience as a mediator or co-mediator.
Members who are designated as New Mediators have met the same requirements for Education and Mediation Training but are still working to meet the requirement for Mediation Experience.
The mediators listed in the Professional Directory perform mediations in their job or as a service. These mediators may be available to provide mediation services for hire to the pubic. Determination of service be made by the individual mediator.

The mediators listed in the Pro Bono Directory may be available to provide mediation services at no charge under appropriate circumstances. Determination of need will be made by the individual mediator.
