The Austin Mediators Association is a voluntary professional membership organization of mediators and those who support the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the Central Texas area. Mediation has a cross-section of practitioners that reach into many different fields of expertise. Our members have backgrounds as diverse as the field of conflict resolution - legal, mental health, business, human resources, public policy, ministry and more.
As a professional organization, we provide education and networking opportunities to our members and other ADR professionals, and serve as a primary resource for those who are seeking mediation services in the Central Texas area.
We also seek to promote community knowledge of mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques. In doing this, we promote the use of mediation in all its forms. Our goals are to:
For those seeking to find a mediator, feel free to look at our Professional Mediator Directory and Pro Bono Mediator Directory to see if there is someone who will meet your specific needs.

Our history: The Austin Mediators Association began in 1980, initially incorporated as the Austin Family Mediation Association. In recognition of the growing diversity in the mediation field, the name was formally changed to the Austin Association of Mediators in 1991 and became the Austin Mediators Association in 2018.
