Annual Membership Options

New Mediator

• Eligibility:
  1. Education: Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or must have achieved equivalent experience as approved by the Board of Directors.

  2. Mediation Training: Must have successfully completed a 40-hour basic training course in dispute resolution techniques which satisfies the requirements of Section 154.052(a) of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.

  3. Mediation Experience: Must be working to accumulate 24 hours of actual mediation experience as a mediator or co-mediator. (Upon completion of 24 hours experience, the member will be eligible to upgrade their membership to Mediator or Mediator - Volunteer Only.)

• Cost: $35 per year

Mediator

• Eligibility: 
  1. Must meet the same requirements for Education and Mediation Training as a New Mediator.

  2. Mediation Experience: Must have accumulated a minimum of 24 hours of actual mediation experience as a mediator or co-mediator.

• Option to appear in our Professional Directory and/or Pro Bono Directory
• Cost: $60 per year

Mediator - Volunteer Only (Discounted Rate) 

• Eligibility:

1. Must meet the criteria for the Mediator category. 
2. Must do mediation only on a volunteer, unpaid basis. Individuals who do both paid and pro bono mediation are not eligible to apply for the Volunteer Only discounted rate.

Supporting Member 

• Open to all individuals who would like to support mediation in the greater Austin area. 
• Not listed in the Professional or Pro Bono Directory.
• Cost: $35 per year
