Do you know the most frequent specific causes of impasse?
Curious to know how to identify and avoid the common
traps that result in impasse?
Want to earn effective communication techniques to facilitate
dialogue and understanding between parties during
challenging negotiation stages?
Lee Jay Berman, founder and President of the
American Institute of Mediation, will share tools to rethink how mediators navigate every stage of the process, beginning with convening a case and the mediator’s introduction, right through how managing joint sessions and caucuses more effectively, and then finally how to close the deal more successfully.
Berman trained in Amsterdam, Dubai, New Delhi, New Zealand, and throughout Australia, and has had groups flown into train with him from Croatia, Jordan, and Uzbekistan. In addition, Berman was Director of Pepperdine Law School’s “Mediating the Litigated Case” program and has trained and lectured at Bond University, University of Texas at Austin, Southern Methodist University, University of California Santa Barbara, Southwestern Law School, Cal-State Northridge, Ventura College of Law, Lipscomb University, Sam Houston State University, and Faulkner University.
