Join AMA in-person for our Bi-monthly member meeting as we welcome

Marcy Goodfleisch, M.A.


Learn to identify and handle communication gaps and barriers in cross-cultural mediation settings and how to address potential power and distancing structures. Ms. Goodfleisch is a mediator and adjunct professor at Park University, teaching Cross-Cultural Communication, Interpersonal Communication, and the Ethics and Psychology of Humor.

1 hour of mediator continuing education, including 0.5 hours of ethics for attendees.

1 hour of MCLE, including 0.5 hours of ethics for attendees approved by the State Bar of Texas.

About the Speaker

Marcy Goodfleisch has been a practicing mediator since 1996, with training in Civil, Family, CPS and Employment dispute resolution. She was twice honored with the State Bar of Texas President's Award while directing media relations at the State Bar. She is an adjunct professor at Park University, where she received an Excellence in Teaching Award in 2015. Marcy is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Since 1999, Marcy has served as an ethics review consultant for an Independent Institutional Review Board, reviewing the safety and ethics of research to be conducted with human subjects. She has an MA in Liberal Studies and an MA in National Security Studies. The mother of two children, she lives in Austin and enjoys travel, art, camping, music, and volunteer work.
