Annual Membership Options

Qualified Mediator  

    • Restrictions: 
      1. Education: The person must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or must have achieved equivalent experience approved by the Board of Directors.
      2. Mediation Training: The person must have successfully completed a 40-hour basic training course in dispute resolution techniques which satisfies the requirements of Section 154.052(a) of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.

      3. Mediation Experience: The person must have accumulated a minimum of 24 hours of actual mediation experience as a mediator or co-mediator.

    • Listings: option to be appear in our Professional Directory and/or Pro Bono Director with the  logo. 
    • Cost: $60 per year

Qualified Mediator - Volunteer Only (Discounted Rate)  

    • Restrictions:
      1. Must meet all Restrictions for a Qualified Mediator. 
      2. Must do mediation only on a volunteer, unpaid basis. Individuals who do both paid and pro bono mediation are not eligible to apply for the Volunteer Only discounted rate.
    • Listings: option to be listed in our Pro Bono Directory with the  logo.
    • Cost: $35 per year

Mediator - Not Met Qualifications

    • Restrictions:
      1. Education: The person must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or must have achieved equivalent experience approved by the Board of Directors.
      2. Mediation Training: The person must have successfully completed a 40-hour basic training course in dispute resolution techniques which satisfies the requirements of Section 154.052(a) of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.

      3. Mediation Experience: The person must be working to accumulate the minimum of 24 hours of actual mediation experience as a mediator or co-mediator.

    • Listings: option to be listed in our Pro Bono Directory.
    • Cost: $35 per year

Supporting Member 

    • Restrictions: none. Open to all individuals who would like to support mediation in the greater Austin area. 
    • Listings: not listed in directories.
    • Cost: $35 per year
